Muskegon River Outfitters offers guided fishing trips on many of Western Michigan’s best Trout and Steelhead Rivers.
Our home river is the Muskegon River, located a half-hour North of Grand Rapids. The midwest’s finest tailwater is home to prolific hatches, high fish densities, and a great variety. Spring is steelhead time, with a great run of 6-15 pound steelies. Early summer is trout time, with some of the best hatches you’ll find anywhere. Later in the summer we focus on smallmouth bass. When fall rolls around, the kings come in and the salmon fishing is fantastic. More info…
Pere Marquette River
Another Favorite is the famed Pere Marquette River located in Baldwin, Mi. The PM is located an hour and a half from Grand Rapids. This river is revered by many as a fantastic Fall Salmon fishery. The Pere Marquette River offers very good early season Salmon fishing and excellent Trout during the Summer months.
The White River in Hesperia is another wonderful river. The White River is a bit smaller than the Pere Marquette but offers anglers much less fishing pressure in a very peaceful environment. The White River is an excellent Steelhead river. And fishes very well during the Spring months.
Without a doubt, the most prolific Salmon river in Michigan is the Manistee River. We guide anglers on the Big Manistee during August and September for fresh-run chrome Mansitee River kings! (Chinook Salmon) The Manistee River offers the best salmon fishing that Michigan has to offer.
